Jim Mullen began as a musician. After many years of performing and as a session musician in recording studios he followed a similar path into concert sound engineering. As founder of Colormix Systems he spent many years providing sound systems and engineering services for performers as diverse as Noel Pointer, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, The Weathergirls, Atlantic City Expressway (featuring Jon Bon Jovi), Lord Gunner, Line Drive, Greg Kihn, The Red Bank Rockers with Clarence Clemmons and Deep Freeze. After many years in the concert sound industry he founded a new company Digitrack in 1995 operating recording studios in both Central New Jersey and Orange County, California. Providing audio recording services to the television and motion picture industry, Digitrack continued to expand and launched subsidiaries Mulltimedia Design Group which designs and builds recording and rehearsal facilities and Kensington Audio which delivers and operates concert audio systems for musical and corporate events. As friends traveling down similar paths, Jim Mullen and George Iocca joined forces to further develop and expand the resources and capabilities of Dynacoustics. They are committed to delivering a reliable product that exceeds expectations at any given price point. |
George Iocca began his journey as a musician. After many years of technical training in the United States Navy with a sonor design team on cutting edge naval ships, he returned to civilian life and applied his technical knowledge to his first passion of music. As founder of Dynacoustics his company began to design and produce concert audio enclosures to overcome the shortcomings of products offered at the time, reducing size and weight while increasing efficiency long before it was “fashionable” to do so. Dynacoustics build quality was soon recognized by the musical industry and his company was enlisted to design and build speaker enclosures for Guild and Hartke Systems.
Dynacoustics continued to design and manufacture their own line of enclosures for musical instrument amplification and concert sound reinforcement applications. George spent also spent much of his time behind the console in world class recording studios and was awarded both Gold and Platinum albums for his work with Skid Row. George continued as the in demand engineer on the concert scene in New Jersey working with a wide variety of performers. From Southside Johnny to Steve Morse and the Dixie Dregs, George soon became the go to guy in New Jersey for design, consultation and operation of concert sound systems. Dynacoustics installed concert systems soon found their way into club and concert venues throughout New Jersey and New York. The Birch Hill Nightclub, The Tradewinds, Starland Ballroom, The Roadhouse and The Stone Pony are just a few of the past and present legendary trademark venues in New Jersey which purchased and installed Dynacoustics audio systems. Those systems continue to bring it to the audience nightly years after their installation, a continuing tribute to their reliability and performance. George continues to design, test and develop new products to serve the ever changing face of professional sound systems for sound system professionals.
